Severe weather challenges all of us. Activities that we take for granted can become difficult or even hazardous when severe weather occurs. However, by taking some simple steps you can reduce the impact of such events.

Prepared by the Government Task Force on Emergency Planning, the Winter-Ready Booklet gives information on being prepared for winter and provides practical advice for coping during episodes of sever weather, as well as giving contact details of organisations and agencies that can provide guidance and assistance.

Water Service Interruption

Waterford City Council wish to advise that due to emergency repairs to a burst on the drinking water network, there may be temporary interruptions tomorrow Saturday 9th November 2013 from 6am to 6pm to the drinking water supply serving the following general area namely from Kilcohan Greyhound Stadium to Bracken Drive and including Ursuline Crescent, Cherrymount, Kilcohan Park, Prospect Mews, Avondale, Saint Herblain Park, Millbrook Court, Greenfields, Bracken Grove, Fairfield Park, Bracken Drive and surrounding areas.

Water will return as soon as practicable after works are completed. Waterford City Council apologise for any inconvenience incurred.

Congratulations!

On Tuesday 5th November, Greenfields was honoured with the Merit Award for Best Large Residential Area at the Waterford City Councils Pride of Place Environmental Awards.  The hard work of residents was acknowledged by the judges as was the presentation of our estate.  The is a fantastic achievement and something all residents should be proud of.
