Community Policing would like to advise that there has been a noticeable increase in Burglaries in the Dunmore Rd Area in the past few days. Entry has been gained via the rear of the premises, through windows and unlocked doors. The main target of these criminals has been cash and jewellery.
Gardai are asking residents to be vigilant for any unusual or suspicious activity in their estates and to contact Waterford Garda Station on 051-305300 to report any such activity. Gardai are also advising residents not to keep large amounts of cash at home and to ensure that all windows and doors are locked and house alarms are armed.
