Clean-up Day… Another Success

Many thanks to all those residents who came out Sunday last November 1st to participate in the second Greenfields Clean-up Day.  Over the past few months, considerable rubbish has been evident in our estate. The Greenfields Residents Association urge all residents to take ownership of the area proximate to their house to keep the good image of our estate.

The Greenfields Clean-up Day was kindly sponsored by Waterford City Council.

Clean-up Day: Sunday 01.11.09

The Greenfields Residents Association supported by Waterford City Council plan to have an estate Clean-up Day Sunday 1st November from 12-2pm.  This is a great opportunity to lend a hand to ensure our estate is well maintained and presented.

Residents will be meeting at 1 Beech Court (near the entrance of the estate) at 12 noon.  Bags, pickers and gloves will be provided.

All motorists are asked to pay particular attention and reduce speed on the day to ensure we have a safe Clean-up Day for all.

Anti-Social Behaviour & Vandalism

Over the past number of weeks residents in Greenfields have witnessed and been subjected to anti-social behaviour and vandalism.  Most seriously, capping stones have been broken off walls, cable/electricity boxes damaged on houses and intimidating behavour reported.

Residents are encouraged to report such incidents to Street and Area Coordinators of the Greenfields Neighbourhood Watch.  Alternatively, residents can report such incidents (anonymously) to An Garda Siochana on 051 305300.

Circulating this month to all residents is the Autumn edition of the GRA Newsletter.  In the Autumn edition find out how you and yours can stay safe this Halloween, read about how the Old Tramore Road realignment is delayed yet again and information about the planned estate Clean-up day on November 1st is given.
