Old Tramore Road To Re-open This Week

The contractor working on the Old Tramore Road had requested an extension to the closure, but Waterford City Council has decided against this.  Instead, a temporary stop go system will be in operation by the end of this week. Senior Engineer Frank Roche says the view of residents and businesses in the area to an extension of the closure was very clear.Frank Roche says the stop go system should work well.

GRA Meeting 14.04.11

The Greenfields Residents Association and Neighbourhood Watch Team are holding an important meeting this coming Thursday 14th April at 8.00pm in the Butler Community Centre, St. John’s Park.  The aim of this meeting is to bring together representatives from an Garda Siochana, Waterford City Council and Local Councillors in an effort to combat the growning anti-social behaviour activities affecting Greenfields.

As you may or may not be aware two serious incidents took place in Greenfields last week which required the assistance of the Waterford City Fire Brigade.  Such incidents are becoming regular occurances in our estate and therefore I encourage all residents to attend this important meeting to show our city representatives that we as a community are serious about stopping this sort of behaviour, but to do so we need their assistance and backing.

Clean-Up Day 12.03.11

The Greenfields Residents Association supported by Waterford City Council plan to have an estate Clean-up Day Saturday 12th March from 11.00am – 1.00pm. This is a great opportunity to lend a hand to ensure our estate is well maintained and presented.

Residents will be meeting at No. 1 Beech Court (near the entrance of the estate) at 11.00am. Bags, pickers and gloves will be provided.  All motorists are asked to pay particular attention and reduce speed on the day to ensure we have a safe Clean-up Day for all.

Rubbish Collections – UPDATE

Collections will resume on Monday 13th December, with double collections of Grey and Green Bin for a full week until normal scheduled collections begin again on Monday 20th. Until Monday 20thth December, customers may also take household waste in black bags to Kilbarry Civic Amenity Site, with one black bag per customer being free of charge.

Greenfields next refuse collection (Black & Green Bin) will be
